    The Mighty Microbiome

The more scientists learn about the gut microbiome (the ecosystem of bacteria in the human digestive tract), the more we appreciate its importance. The microbiome is sometimes considered an additional organ due to the variety of supporting functions it performs for our bodies. Probiotics don’t just support the treatment of gastrointestinal conditions—research has shown that probiotics play a supporting role in immune function, cardiovascular health, dermatological health, and so much more. Our Advanced Synbiotic has been crafted under the guidance of experts in the field of nutritional science to be the ideal combination of probiotics and prebiotics that work together to produce beneficial postbiotics. The Alaya Naturals Advanced Synbiotic is the intelligent solution to supporting your gut health and immune system and assists the holistic treatment of a wide variety of health considerations. *

    FAQ

    What is a synbiotic?
Synbiotics are supplements that contain both probiotic strains in addition to prebiotics. Prebiotics support the growth or activity of beneficial probiotic organisms.
    What is Sunfiber®?
Our prebiotic fiber is galactomannan from Sunfiber, the most trusted source in the field. It is a gluten-free and soluble dietary fiber made from guar beans. Galactomannan is a truly regulating dietary fiber that helps to normalize the digestive system.
    Why include L-glutamine?
The gut is the major site of the consumption of the amino acid glutamine. L-glutamine can fuel a strong intestinal lining for optimal digestion and absorption. Supplementing with L-glutamine can effectively support the gut lining for those suffering from issues such as leaky gut, malabsorption, or inflammatory bowel disease. *
Does the Advanced Synbtiotic need to be refrigerated?
Our Advanced Synbiotic is shelf stable and therefore does not require refrigeration. The bacteria strains in ours are tested to confirm stability of CFU count as well. We do, however, recommend storing it in a cool dry place and away from extreme heat.
    What is Hypromellose?
We use Hypromellose to ensure optimal efficacy for the delayed release activity of our capsules.

    Lactobacillus Plantarum 6595
Lactobacillus Plantarum 6595 may survive stomach acid better than other strains because it has a high tolerance for acidity. It has several unique traits that make it an optimal strain to support gut and immune health. Research has shown that it may help maintain intestinal permeability. It also possesses tannase (enzyme) activity and is able to metabolize tannin polyphenols (phenolic acids). It has potential anti-inflammatory benefit as well, and supports the growth of beneficial bacteria. *
    Bifidobacterium lactis BI-04
Increasing evidence shows that Bifidobacterium lactis BI-04 (an actinobacteria) may be one of the ideal probiotics to help support healthy immune system function. B.lactis breaks down body waste and aids in the absorption of vitamins and minerals. It not only maintains a healthy gut environment, but supports our overall wellness by reducing the ability of foreign and harmful agents to pass through the gut wall and enter our system. *
    Lactobacillus reuteri
Normally living in the human GI tract, Lactobacillus reuteri naturally colonizes the small intestine and is resistant to stomach acid and bile salts in the small intestines. It may help our natural bio-film despite the presence of bile. This strain may also be effective against GI & stool issues caused by the overuse of antibiotics. And Lactobacillus reuteri may help to eradicate H. Pylori, the bacteria associated with the formation of stomach ulcers. Studies have also shown Lactobacillus reuteri to have antimicrobial properties, that it may reduce the production of certain inflammatory cytokines, and that it may help strengthen the intestinal barrier. *
    Lactobacillus paracasei
This strain naturally occurs in the human body, both in our mouth and our intestinal tract. It has the ability to ferment many carbohydrates. Studies have shown that Lactobacillus paracasei has antioxidant properties, having a positive effects on the body’s immune system. Studies have also shown it may be helpful for weight loss by its ability to change the gut microbiota structure that has been altered by high fat diets, and may also be helpful in treating diarrhea and constipation. *
    Lactobacillus salivarius
While found naturally in your digestive system, Lactobacillus salivarius is also found in large quantities in our mouth. Research has shown that this strain has an impact in decreasing plaque forming bacteria, which then naturally reduces bad breath and gum sensitivity. It helps to normalize our intestinal flora, which is especially important for those suffering from chronic bowel conditions, such as IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Like Lactobacillus paracasei, it may be an effective inhibitor of H. Pylori as well, which is a bacteria that can lead to stomach ulcers and even cancer. It also may help reduce bloating issues. *
    Bifidobacterium breve
Compared to other probiotic bacteria, this bacteria has the unusual capability to fight bad bacteria in the gut, specifically because it can digest  many different molecules. This makes it an extremely helpful ally in supporting good digestive health. It has been used to treat a variety of conditions including constipation, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, and even seems to curb the growth of E. coli. Bifidobacterium breve may also help produce other health benefits - supporting our respiratory and skin health. Studies have also shown that B. breve has strong anti-inflammatory properties. *
    Bifidobacterium longum BI-05
Bifidobacterium longum BI-05 is resistant to low pH and bile salts allowing it to survive our stomach environments, making it a strong ally in fighting off harmful bacteria. And because it can also attach to our intestinal cells, it can prevent harmful pathogens from binding themselves. That means that harmful bacteria passes through harmlessly - it gets eliminated from our bodies before it can cause any damage. B. longum also maintains our pH balance, and may also help reduce gastrointestinal discomfort caused by stress. *

    Good products!

The synbiotic has been good. There have been no adverse effects - no upset stomach or anything like that. I haven’t noticed any major benefits just yet, but I plan to keep taking this. I’ve also tried the Alaya collagen and krill oil pills and those are both high quality as well.
